Autogeek at SEMA 2012

Visit Autogeek at the SEMA Show 2012!

SEMA stands for Specialty Equipment Market Association. The SEMA show is the auto industry’s premier trade show, where the biggest names in automotive care and aftermarket accessories come to introduce new products, see the newest trends in car care, and meet with the brightest minds in the business. The SEMA show attracts more than 100,000 industry leaders from more than 100 countries to the Las Vegas Convention Center every fall. The SEMA show is where next year’s hot new items are debuted and where new vendor relationships are formed. Every year, manufacturers exhibit their best work, from fantastic custom vehicles and rebuilds to the latest in surface care technology. When manufacturers go to SEMA, they go big.

At SEMA, it’s not just what you’ll see, it’s who you’ll see. Celebrities from racing, television, film, and from the world of car care all gather at the SEMA show.

In 2008, Richard Griot of Griot’s Garage stopped by the Autogeek booth to meet Max. Barry Meguiar and Max met in 2009. In 2010, the hosts of Two Guys Garage, My Classic Car, TRUCK U, and Motorhead Garage all joined us at the Autogeek booth. For 2011 Bruno Massel, Matt Steele, Dennis Gage, Richard Griot and many others stopped in and visited the Autogeek booth! You never know what will happen at the SEMA show!

Autogeek Flashback!

We’re getting in the time machine today! Anyone who came to our first Detail Fest may remember our small 2,000 sq. ft. space in an office complex. In looking through these pictures, I found a fun fact. The first Detail Fest was in December of 2005. There wasn’t one in 2006 because Max decided it should be held in Spring. The next one was in Spring of 2007 and they have been ever since.

You can see the Autogeek sign over the door. We also had the space to the right, but that was it!

These next photos are different views of the same office. Believe it or not, shortly after this photo was taken, a second desk was added to this room!

This was the warehouse – only about 1000 sq. ft., and we made use of every inch.

For comparison, this is our current warehouse….

Here is the back of our 2005 home. The first two garage doors were ours.

This is Autogeek’s current home.

Autogeek.net has grown a lot in the last six years. Many of our customers have been with us every step of the way (and we have the pictures to prove it!). We as a company are very fortunate to have customers who appreciate what we do and who tell us how we can do it better. It’s that relationship that helps Autogeek continue to improve and grow. Thank you!
