This Tool Can Save Gas!

We’ve all heard for years that we should check our tire pressure, but here’s a great incentive to do it. According to the government’s tips for improving fuel economy, properly inflated tires can add one extra mile per gallon to your fuel economy. The Department of Energy estimates that for every pound per square inch that all four of a vehicle’s tires are under-inflated, a driver’s gas mileage is lowered by 0.4 percent. It adds up! Some 3.56 million gallons of gas are wasted EACH DAY because of incorrectly-inflated tires.
At least once a month, use a tire gauge to make sure your tires are inflated per the manufacturer’s recommendation. Tire gauges are affordable, easy-to-use devices that make your fuel go farther.
