So what’s different about CCS pads? Basically, they are a variation on the conventional foam pad in which small indentions are made into the foam. Its as if someone pressed the foam with a straw creating a column of foam surrounded by a moat. The “moat” serves a reservoir for excess polish to accumulate until the surrounding foam starts to become dry. Then, by the power of diffusion, the polish migrates up the column and back out onto the pad’s work surface. But that’s just one way these CCS pockets perform.
